Rio Olympics 2016 - Jenny Lang Ping the “Iron Hammer” led the Chinese women's volleyball team to their first Olympic gold medal since 2004 Saturday night. They beat Serbia for gold at the Rio Olympics rebounding from losing the first set 19-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-23.

Serbia was looking to make its first Olympic volleyball medal as an independent nation unfortunately for them the Chinese team played its best volleyball of the tournament. China won last year’s world championships and they were ranked third in the world entering the tournament, so their winning gold isn’t a shock.

Lang Ping became the first person to win volleyball gold as a coach and player.
