Penn State Women's Volleyball Upset Top-ranked Gophers

The number 1 ranked University of Minnesota women's volleyball team was upset by No. 15 Penn State in five sets Wednesday in State College, Pa. after a wilde five-set match  3-2 (29-27, 21-25, 23-25, 25-14, 15-10). It broke the 11-match win streak for the Gophers (12-2, 4-1 Big Ten).

The Penn State Nittany Lions rallied a comeback against the Minnesota Golden Gophers to win the game. Penn State outside hitter Simone Lee led all players with 30 kills.

Sarah Wilhite led Minnesota with 16 kills and 16 digs, while Hannah Tapp and Alexis Hart had 13 kills each. Dalianliz Rosado had 17 digs, and Samantha Seliger-Swenson had 50 assists.

Penn State (13-3, 5-0) and Wisconsin are the only two unbeaten teams left in the Big Ten. Penn State has now won 11 matches in a row.
