BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University sand volleyball team were against the Webber International last Thursday for a double dual match. The Florida Atlantic University Owls dominated Webber International in both games, 5-0 in the 1st game then 4-1 in the 2nd. It was senior day and Mandy McIntosh and Alyssa Warren were honored prior to the match.
The first game was played by Mandy McIntosh and Beth Shoaff, the game went to 3rd set before they were able to win the decisive set 15-9. In game 2, Chelsey Tekavec and Alyssa Warren needed also a 3rd set before winning the match with a 15-11 victory. Delaney Clesen and Gabrielle Dischler took their match at number 3 in straight sets. The team of Brittany Pellitteri and Andrea Galinis were able to sweep their game at number 4, as did Lexi Rhein and Gabriella Pyle at game number 5 that complete the sweep of the Warriors in the first match.
In the 2nd match, webber was able to snatch their only win of the day when Brittany Pellitteri and Andrea Galinis came up just short in the third set, 13-15.
