The sun is hot and the waters of Halifax Harbour sparkling, eager fans lined the stands to cheer on the Canadian women’s team in the beach volleyball tournament on Saturday afternoon. Beach volleyball is back in Halifax. Sand Jam 2013 has returned to the Halifax Waterfront for its third season.
Male and female teams from England, Germany and the U.S. will be competing for the Canada Cup.
Sand Jam is also an opportunity for young players to learn from the world’s best and local coaches are encouraging their rising stars to check out the action.
