Unseeded BYU volleyball Defeated 2nd seed Texas

The BYU Cougars are the leading blocking team in the country that helped them defeat the three teams that they have faced recently Florida State, Nebraska and Texas. By beating 2nd seed Texas Longhorns (27-3) 25-23, 25-16, 17-25, 26-24 at Chesapeake Energy Center the BYU Cougars will be the first unseeded women’s volleyball team to compete for a national championship.

Jennifer Hamson continue her dominance with 22 kills, 10 digs and 7 blocks, while Alexa Gray chipped in 19 kills on .421 hitting. Tambre Nobles had 11 kills, 12 digs and 4 blocks.

The Cougars (12th ranked 30-4) will face Penn State next on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. MT.
