The Cougars will advance to women's volleyball Elite Eight after Jennifer Hamson had a career-high 30 kills helping the 2th-ranked BYU women's volleyball team get rid of a 6th seeded Florida State Seminoles on Friday 3-1 ( 25-20, 25-19, 19-25, 26-24). The regional final will be held in Seattle.

Jennifer Hamson 6-foot-7 senior got her career high in kills on 63 attempts with only 5 errors at a very impressive .397 hitting percentage, she also had 10 digs and six blocks.

They will be up against No. 14 Nebraska this Saturday for the regional final.

BYU (28-4) was trailing the game 24-21 in the fourth set, and then Hamson suddenly lead a late charge that resulted to a 5-point run and secured their win. Alohi Robins-Hardy contributed 37 assists and 15 digs, while Alexa Gray had 12 digs.

Amy Boswell and Whitney Young each had a match-high seven blocks for BYU.

BYU was not seeded in the tournament, however they were able to win 10 straight matches. The Cougars are the No. 1 blocking team in the country, and outblocked Florida State 16-8.
